Memorable outdoor and cultural pursuits aside, the culminating experience at Bountiful Alaska occurs in the kitchen and dining room. We view food and wine as the focal point, as the summit to be reached at the end of each day's activities. Our chef facilitates menu planning, supplies ingredients and arranges harvest activities, as well as coordinating, instructing and participating in dinner preparations. Though conscientiously orchestrated, Bountiful Alaska dinners are definitely hands-on…an opportunity for some guests to teach and for all to learn. Guest participation during every phase of preparation is enthusiastically embraced and encouraged. KP is the only exception. You have fun making the mess. We do all the cleaning.
Dinner can be quite literally what you make it. You help plan the menu, harvest the seafood, prepare the meal, decide how formal or informal the attire, and select distinctive wines to dazzle the palette. But one aspect remains constant: you simply cannot find seafood of this scope and quality anywhere else, and it shines through in every dinner.
